One of the reasons I became a teacher was because I LOVE watching kids learn. As a mother I am incredibly amazed at how much Kate learns each day. Lately, I really enjoy the connections Kate makes when I'm not expecting them. Last Wednesday night, was the perfect example...I made tortellini with tomato sauce, and peas (random finds from the pantry and refrigerator). To my surprise, Kate LOVED her dinner (not typical for our take it or leave it eater). She actually squealed with delight saying "letter Q's, letter Q's"!!! Who would have thought tortellini could be so exciting?! :o)
