Attempting to get back on track (Disney Day 1)

So life happens...things change, time marches on, and Kate continues to be an amazing little girl. I think my last post was in April or May so this is a catch up on a summer filled with great Kate adventures, memories, and more. This blog is intended for friends and family to to share in Kate's life and for Kate to have an electronic scrapbook/journal to look back on when she's older so.... here it is kiddo and Mom will try to get back to updating a little more often (in between playing with you and work of course). :) I love you Lulu!

DISNEY June 2011~ Kate 3yr. 3mo.

Day 1 started with Breakfast at the Polynesian

Lilo & Stitch invited Mickey and Pluto to join us all for breakfast! :)

Next, it was off to the park where you met Daisy Duck. The lines for Daisy and Pluto were each super long so we picked Daisy (after already hanging out with Pluto during breakfast). However, Daisy liked you SO much she let you try on her bracelet and then took you over to Pluto to show him how great it looked! Only my Lulu got time with BOTH characters after standing in one line?! Such a princess. :)

After that it was off to our first of Many parades.... (you loved them all!)

You always know how to stand out in a crowd :)

I love how you waved and called each character by name.

As soon as our first parade was over it was off to rides and a chance meeting with Pinocchio

(Great hat Uncle Michael!:-))

Check out that hip action!

After that is was time to watch the park's Light Parade...thank goodness for Scratchy Grandpa

Next you met Cinderella, had big talks with her, and got to watch the castle fireworks with her before dinner.

Dinner was SUPER late but you were a trooper talking with every princess and making it a truly enchanted night. :)

That sweet little voice...

So for those of you who may only know Kate through this blog, I need to clarify the title of this post. From the time Kate was born I heard "what a sweet little cry...its so different." Not in a bad way, in my opinion, in a beautiful way. Kate has had a sweet scratchy deeper voice her whole life. People who know Kate and haven't seen us in a while will even ask Kate to talk to them, just to hear that sweet little voice... and so here are a few videos that capture it. They are from cameras, phones, and video cameras so quality is not the best but it will give you a glimpse of that sweet little voice. :)

Singing Princess Songs to Miss Sarah on PJ day. :)

Okay, this one isn't so much Kate talking but her dance moves. :) She really is hysterical.

Egg Hunts...3 for 3! :)

Easter 2011

This year Kate was lucky enough to enjoy 3 Amazing Egg Hunts! Its funny how year 1 Kate enjoyed hunting eggs but could have been very happy hunting 1 egg and calling it a day. Year 2 Kate started to catch on and enjoyed the hunt but could have settled for a few eggs. This year, Kate was a "pro" she looked in crazy places and had to be told at each hunt when it was over because she was still looking for more!!! Oh how time has flown. :) Fortunately though, Kate is blessed with wonderful friends like Rhiannon and her family who have the annual Lawson Easter Egg Hunt, an incredible school that had 100s of eggs and always goes above and beyond for each holiday, and a family who loves her with egg hunts at home and grandparent's homes.

School Easter Egg Hunt

(check out how little she is compared to her classmates in the group shot! Love my little Lu!)

Miss Katy explaining how the easter bunny has hidden eggs in the classroom too!

Ice Cream after the egg hunt... can't get much better than that in Kate's opinion! :)

After a quick egg hunt at Abu and Poochi's, we all gather to play Kate's new bunny tower game!

The Egg Hunt at our house after church. And yes, Kate insisted on wearing her bunny ears! Notice her sidekick...Marley was happy to help. :)
